Visiting Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods

Brushwood, the historic home of Edward L. Ryerson which houses Brushwood Center’s offices, the Brushwood Center Gallery and BASE (the Brushwood Art Supply Exchange), is currently open:

Monday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. 
Tuesday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.*
Wednesday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Thursday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Friday – Closed
Saturdays 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Sundays 1 – 3 p.m.

*Brushwood Center will be closed the following dates: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Easter weekend, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day. The Edward L. Ryerson Conservation Area, or Ryerson Woods, is owned by the Lake County Forest Preserves and is open daily 6:30 a.m. to sunset. This 564-acre oasis supports some of the most pristine woodlands, as well as several threatened and endangered species, in Illinois. It offers six miles of scenic trails.Admission and Parking
