Two Saturdays – September 21 & 28
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Learn the basics of upholstery by working on your own chair with us to guide you! This is a fantastic chance to up-cycle an old piece you have at home or re-vitalize a thrift store find. We provide the use of all upholstery tools and equipment from the BASE tool library. Because every chair will be different, day one will include a trip to a nearby upholstery supply shop where students can purchase fabric and anything else they may need to finish their project. Chairs must be approved before the beginning of the course – please email us a photo. The chair you bring can remain at Brushwood between classes. Chairs should be structurally sound and fairly simple in design. Due to time constraints we recommend avoiding chairs with exposed wood that needs to be refinished or painted.
Two Saturdays. $25 BCRW Members, $35 non-members (includes instruction and use of BASE tools, does not include student’s choice of fabric and trims).Register for Upholstery
